Community Guidelines

Foorent works because neighbours trust each other. These guidelines apply to everyone.

Be a good neighbour

Be polite

Be respectful in chat, in reviews and in person. Harassment, discrimination and threats aren’t allowed.

List honestly

Only list things you own or are allowed to lend. Use real photos, describe the condition and any defects, and keep your availability up to date.

Look after what you borrow

Use it as agreed, keep it clean and return it on time, in the condition you got it.

Keep it on Foorent

Arrange everything in Foorent chat. Don’t move the conversation or payment elsewhere before a rental is agreed.

Turn up

Be on time for pickups and returns. If plans change, tell the other person and cancel early.

Review fairly

Review the rental and the item honestly. No fake or paid reviews.

Not allowed on Foorent

• Weapons and ammunition
• Drugs, medicines and medical devices
• Alcohol and tobacco
• Vehicles and live animals
• Counterfeit, stolen or adult items
• Items worth more than AED 3,000
• Anything illegal in the UAE

Staying safe

• Meet in a public or shared place in your community, such as a lobby, reception or entrance.
• Check the item together at pickup and at return, and take photos of its condition.
• Agree the price, deposit and dates in Foorent chat, so they’re in writing.
• Count cash together at pickup and at return.
• Never share card details, passwords or one-time codes. Foorent will never ask you for them.
• If something feels wrong, don’t go ahead. Report it to us.

If rules are broken

We may remove listings or reviews, pause items, or suspend accounts. Report anything that worries you from the ⋮ menu on a listing, profile, chat or rental, or email support@foorent.com. If someone is in danger, call the police on 999 first.
